Tour SL4 - Lebanon

Day 1: Beirut
Meet and assist at Beruit International Airport by our representative and transfer to your hotel and overnight.

Day 2: Beirut – Echmoun – Sidon – Tyr – Beirut
After breakfast, departure towards the South. Stop over in Echmoun for a visit of a Phoenician temple dedicated to the God of Death and Birth. Proceed to Sidon. Visit of the Sea Castle, the caravanserai and the old souks. We suggest a fresh fish lunch in a charming restaurant by Tyre’s beach. In the afternoon, visit Tyre's archeological sites. Return to Beirut. Overnight.

Day 3: Beirut – Deir el Qamar – Beiteddine – Chtaura/Zahlé
After breakfast, visit of downtown Beirut featuring newly found archeological sites, recently renovated typical Lebanese houses, churches and mosques from Crusader and Moslem periods, and the Grand Sérail. Visit as well the National Museum, which contains a wide collection of archeological treasures. Departure toward the Chouf area in South Mount Lebanon. Stopover at Deir el Qamar, a typical Lebanese village of white houses and red-tiled roofs. Visit of Beiteddine Palace built in the 18th century by Emir Bechir II. Proceed to the Bekaa Valley. Check in and overnight at the hotel in Chtaura/Zahle.

Day 4: Chtaura – Baalbeck – Ksara – Anjar – Beirut
After breakfast, visit Baalbeck with its different temples dedicated to Jupiter, Bacchus and Venus. Continue to Ksara winery for some delightful wine tasting. We suggest lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit of the Umayyad city of Anjar. Back to the hotel in Beirut for overnight.

Day 5: Beirut – Byblos – Tripoli - Bcharreh
After breakfast, departure North towards Byblos, a continuously inhabited city since 7000 years. We
suggest fresh fish lunch in a fine restaurant by the old harbor. Continue to Tripoli, which displays a distinctly Oriental ambience with its narrow alleys, souks and many mosques, some dating back to the Mamluk and Ottoman periods. Proceed to Bcharreh. Check in at the hotel. Overnight.

Day 6: Bcharreh – Les Cedars - Qadisha - Beirut
After breakfast, visit of Bcharreh, the birth and resting place of Gibran Khalil Gibran, Lebanon's most famous poet, artist and novelist. The Gibran museum houses his paintings, drawings and personal effects. Visit the Cedars, with its centerpiece grove of 400 cedar trees of which are trees more than 1500 years old. We suggest a typical lunch in the Cedars area. Visit Qadisha’s monastery of Saint Antonios built into the rock. Overnight at the hotel in Beirut.

Day 7: Beirut - Depart
After breakfast, transfer to Beirut International Airport for departure
